Zoë Schiffer: OK. So it’s been an interesting week for the AI industry. On Monday, we heard that the Trump administration announced what, on its face, seems like a pretty big about-face in its approach to AI regulation. The New York Times initially reported that there is an executive order being considered, just at that stage right now, that would create a group of tech executives and government officials who would essentially review AI models before they are released to the public. Brian Barrett: It’s been really interesting to see how as AI models get more powerful, they’ve sort of hit their limit. I think the Anthropic showdown we’ve talked about a lot. We’re in a new era of, “Oh wait, actually this could be useful to us or terrible for us. That’s part of internal conversations with their tech cohort. It’s really, we’re making this a comfortable place for you to do business and you should feel comfortable here. So this is, again, we don’t know exactly how detailed this regulation or, quote-unquote, “oversight” is actually going to look, but I was surprised. I was surprised. I’m rarely surprised.
