SpaceX awarded $6.45B in Space Force contracts ahead of IPO

SpaceX is headed toward what’s expected to be the largest IPO ever next month, and now it has received a major boost from the Trump administration. SpaceX 即将于下个月进行预计是有史以来规模最大的首次公开募股（IPO），目前该公司已获得特朗普政府的大力支持。

On Friday, the U.S. Space Force announced it’s giving SpaceX $4.16 billion as part of a contract to build satellites that will be part of a missile and air defense system that President Trump is calling the “Golden Dome.” 周五，美国太空军宣布向 SpaceX 提供 41.6 亿美元的合同，用于建造卫星，这些卫星将成为特朗普总统所称的“金穹”（Golden Dome）导弹与防空系统的一部分。

The announcement follows a separate contract the Space Force awarded to Elon Musk’s company earlier this week worth $2.29 billion. The contracts reinforce a disclosure that was detailed in SpaceX’s IPO filing made public last week: the company is heavily dependent on government contracts.
