John Jumper, who shared a recent Nobel Prize in chemistry, announced Friday that he’s making the leap to Anthropic after “nearly 9 years” at Google DeepMind. 近期共同获得诺贝尔化学奖的 John Jumper 周五宣布，在 Google DeepMind 工作“近 9 年”后，他将跳槽至 Anthropic。
In a post on X, Jumper wrote that DeepMind CEO Demis Hassabis “took a real chance letting me lead the AlphaFold team just six months after finishing my PhD, and the entire GDM team taught me so much about how to do great science.” Jumper 在 X 上发文称，DeepMind 首席执行官 Demis Hassabis “在我博士毕业仅六个月后就让我领导 AlphaFold 团队，这确实是一次大胆的尝试，整个 GDM 团队教会了我许多关于如何进行卓越科学研究的知识。”

Bloomberg reports that Jumper was a key member of Google’s team developing coding tools, which the company has struggled to sell to businesses. 据彭博社报道，Jumper 是谷歌开发编程工具团队的关键成员，而谷歌在向企业销售这些工具方面一直面临挑战。
Character AI co-founder Noam Shazeer also announced this week that he’s leaving DeepMind — though in Shazeer’s case, he’s joining OpenAI. Character AI 的联合创始人 Noam Shazeer 本周也宣布离开 DeepMind——不过与 Jumper 不同，Shazeer 将加入 OpenAI。
Jumper and Hassabis won the Nobel Prize in 2024 for their work on AlphaFold, an AI model that can predict the 3D structure of proteins based on their genetic sequences. Jumper 和 Hassabis 因在 AlphaFold 上的工作获得了 2024 年诺贝尔奖，该 AI 模型能够根据基因序列预测蛋白质的 3D 结构。
