Town Square, the community deserves connection

Town Square：社区值得拥有连接

So many things happened since the first day I released Town Square. I have been shipping a lot because people were genuinely having fun with it and naturally started imagining what else would make it even better. They were not just asking for features. They were playing with it, enjoying it, and saying things like how nice it would be if Town Square had this or that.

自从我发布 Town Square 的第一天起，发生了很多事情。我一直在不断地更新迭代，因为人们确实从中获得了乐趣，并自然而然地开始构思如何让它变得更好。他们不仅仅是在索要新功能，而是在使用它、享受它，并表达着诸如“如果 Town Square 有这个或那个功能该多好”之类的想法。

There is now more room for people to make their own square feel like their own. You can customize colors, change the number of props, and play with different locations. I have also been slowly improving mobile. That part is still hard, but it has been an interesting challenge.

现在，人们有了更多的空间来打造属于自己的广场。你可以自定义颜色、更改道具数量，并尝试不同的地点。我也一直在缓慢地优化移动端体验。这部分工作依然艰巨，但却是一个有趣的挑战。

I also made a proper landing page for Town Square. Until now, it was mostly something you had to stumble into or hear about from someone else. Now there is a clearer front door. A place where people can immediately understand what Town Square is, see it live, and get a feel for the project. That felt important too. It makes the whole thing feel more real.

我还为 Town Square 制作了一个正式的落地页。在此之前，人们大多是偶然发现它，或是从别人那里听说。现在，它有了一个更清晰的入口。在这里，人们可以立即了解 Town Square 是什么，查看实时状态，并感受这个项目。这同样很重要，它让整个项目感觉更加真实了。

The biggest new thing is the Town Square map. You can check the live map here. It shows all the verified cities that are already part of Town Square and the roads between them. A one-way connection appears as a simple road. A two-way connection appears as a stronger one. The bigger the city, the more messages have been sent there over time. You can also spot live visitors as blinking dots moving around the map. And I added a small star to the cities that contributed to the project.

最大的新功能是 Town Square 地图。你可以在这里查看实时地图。它展示了所有已加入 Town Square 的认证城市以及它们之间的道路。单向连接显示为简单的道路，双向连接则显示得更粗。城市越大，说明随着时间推移那里发送的消息越多。你还可以看到实时访客以闪烁点的形式在地图上移动。此外，我还为那些对项目做出贡献的城市添加了一颗小星星。

What I like most is that the map is live. As new Town Squares are added, they just start appearing there, and the whole thing slowly feels more like a real little world. I also built a map editor, so I can draw trees, mountains, and lakes. That part was especially fun.

我最喜欢的一点是地图是实时的。随着新的 Town Square 被添加，它们会直接出现在地图上，整个项目慢慢地感觉更像是一个真实的小世界。我还制作了一个地图编辑器，这样我就可以绘制树木、山脉和湖泊了。那部分特别有趣。

I also want to leave a big thanks to Kev, Frank, and Emile for sending me a coffee and contributing to the project. That genuinely gave me a lot of energy to keep going. But what stayed with me even more were the emails. Dozens of kind messages. Appreciation. Love. People taking the time to say that this tiny thing on the internet meant something to them. That is the part I keep coming back to.
