Summer Log #4

Summer Log #4

I am gradually returning to the mindset that should have been there all along: consistency and good intentions eventually pay off. Many things are not worth this much mental struggle. I am too young to give up. Falling is natural, getting hurt is natural, making mistakes is natural, and even repeating mistakes is natural—but staying down is a choice we make ourselves. After all, we aren’t useless; we want to progress, learn more, do important and interesting work, be useful, be helpful, and well, be human.

I am slowly bringing back some habits I had drifted away from into my routine, little by little, without rushing, and without trying to change everything overnight. I also started a personal project these past few days; it occupies almost all my thoughts. I’ve set the deadline for next Friday. If everything goes according to plan, I will release the source code.

I read an article today, and this part was interesting: why blogs are still important. Nowadays, anyone can ask AI how to do something and get an answer in seconds. So, I don’t think the value of these logs lies in teaching. What no model can write on my behalf is my own path—what “stupid” things I got stuck on today that AI might find trivial, what I messed up, what I learned, or even why a book or a conversation stayed with me. Perhaps that is why, rather than telling you how to do something, I prefer to write about how I did it. And even when everything seems dark, a corner of my mind is still quietly saying: keep going.
