Grokipedia, the AI-powered online encyclopedia from SpaceXAI, appears to be updating articles once again after a months-long pause. The site seems to have become active again relatively recently. The page for President Barack Obama has a note that says it was “Fact-checked by Grok” two days ago, and the page for Elon Musk was fact-checked while I was writing this, within the last hour. While writing this article, I suggested an update to the Gears of War: E-Day page to note the game’s October 6th release date, and Grokipedia accepted the suggestion and now lists the date. SpaceXAI didn’t immediately reply to a request for comment, and Elon Musk still hasn’t posted on X about Grokipedia since February. (Musk claimed about a year ago that Grokipedia would be “a massive improvement over Wikipedia.”) However, Benji Taylor, the head of design at X and SpaceXAI, posted last week about Grokipedia, saying that “We haven’t forgotten about Grokipedia” and that “v0.2 will be better than ever” (even though v0.2 technically launched in November).
